Your role as Senior Software Developer

As a senior SW engineer for Dirac Live, you will join an agile product team of passionate developers and audio enthusiasts. You will contribute to the solution’s backend processing, with design, implementation, test, and evaluation of algorithms for estimation and design of filters for calibration, correction, and optimization. Most of the implementation is in C++ running locally inside the end-user app, but with some parts running in the cloud.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conversion of Matlab or Python signal processing algorithms into scalable and maintainable C++ code
  • Optimizing algorithm complexity (cycles and memory footprint)
  • Implementation of heavy signal processing algorithms in the cloud (AWS)
  • Assisting the product owner to refine complex and large work items into smaller, valuable, and estimated user stories
  • Evaluate and improve the audio quality of the audio processing algorithms
  • Assist with 2nd line customer support
  • Maintain and improve the infrastructure and processes for build, test, and release.

Who you are

  • M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong skills in signal processing and applied mathematics.
  • Programming experience and proficiency in C++.
  • Proficiency with CLI tools in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Experience with agile development.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • A team-oriented attitude, as well as the ability to work independently.

Desired qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECR and ECS.
  • Experience with relevant software engineering tools for CI/CD (Git, CMake, Conan).
  • A passion for high-end audio.
  • Experience from working hands-on in audio labs. Connecting equipment, testing and evaluating

Location

Your main location will be at Dirac’s headquarters in central Uppsala or at our R&D facility in Copenhagen.
