Software Developer – Home & Pro

Your role as Software Developer 

As a SW engineer for Dirac Live, you will join an agile product team of passionate developers and audio enthusiasts. You will be taking care of our audio lab where we test and evaluate High-End audio systems. These are typically 5.1 or 7.2 systems but also larger systems. Depending on your background you would either contribute to the Dirac audio processing engine as embedded into the HW or the filter calculation algorithms running in the Dirac Live application. In both cases you would work with design, implementation, optimization, test, and evaluation. A special focus to make the Dirac solution easy to maintain and integrate. Most of the implementation is in C++.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluate and test the Dirac Live application in the audio lab with real hardware
  • Keep the Audio lab and up to date and easy to use
  • Optimizing algorithm complexity (cycles and memory footprint)
  • Assist with 2nd line customer support
  • Maintain and improve the infrastructure and processes for build, test, and release
  • Assisting the product owner to refine complex and large work items into smaller, valuable, and estimated user stories

Who you are

  • M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience (or a strong interest) from working hands-on in audio labs. Connecting equipment, testing and evaluating
  • Embedded programming or strong audio signal processing experience
  • Proficiency in C++
  • Proficiency with CLI tools in a Linux/Unix environment
  • Experience with agile development
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • A team-oriented attitude, as well as the ability to work independently
  • EU citizen or hold a valid work permit in Sweden

Desired qualifications

  • Experience with Audio signal processing algorithm research and development
  • Experience with Quality assurance and release testing
  • Experience with relevant software engineering tools for CI/CD (Git, CMake, Conan).
  • A passion for high-end audio.
