Customer Integration Engineer
In this role, you will be the critical technical bridge between Dirac and its customers, ensuring world-class audio technology reaches its full potential.
Our best-in-class technology has given us a customer base that includes many of the world's most reputable brands. In this role, you will play a key part in making that technology come to life inside high-end consumer electronics products, working at the intersection of deep engineering and customer collaboration. We are on an exciting journey of growth and scale, driven by our ambition to deliver the ultimate audio experience that transforms how the world listens.
About the role
Dirac is seeking a technically skilled and customer-oriented Customer Integration Engineer to join our Customer Solutions team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical interface between Dirac and its customers globally, supporting integrations of Dirac technology into premium sound products in the Consumer Electronics segment. You will collaborate closely with Customer Success Engineers, Customer Project Managers, as well as internal Product Management and Engineering teams, to ensure every integration is delivered smoothly and to the highest standard.
You will report to the Head of Customer Solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the technical interface between the Customer Project Manager, Customer Success Engineer, and the customer during both delivery and presales phases.
- Support customer integration and certification of Dirac into high-end sound products.
- Troubleshoot issues reported during integration, analyzing logs and assisting with debugging.
- Collaborate with Dirac's development teams to resolve DSP library or runtime-related issues.
- Contribute to designing and implementing new test methods to address evolving product delivery requirements.
- Drive improvements to workflows and processes within the Customer Solutions team, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Manage access administration in the license server.
- Participate in Lessons Learned sessions to compile insights and continuously improve future integration projects.
- Support the Customer Project Manager with requirement analysis, effort estimates, risk assessments, project planning, and delivery coordination.
Qualifications and experience
You bring a background in embedded software and audio systems, and you thrive in technically complex environments — preferring close customer collaboration and deep-dive debugging over pure coding, with a sharp eye for root cause analysis. For you, customer satisfaction and engineering excellence go hand in hand.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded C/C++, DSP integration, and embedded platforms (ADI, NXP, TI), including low-level real-time processing and ARM micro-architectures.
- Comfortable across Windows, macOS, and Linux, with familiarity in revision control (GitLab/GitHub), scripting (Python), and IDEs such as CCES or Visual Studio.
- Experience with audio testing setups, including Audio Precision, and knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, HTTP, and WebSocket.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies and a structured approach to troubleshooting and testing.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
We believe you are as comfortable debugging a DSP issue as you are explaining it to a non-technical stakeholder. You are as comfortable working independently as collaborating across teams, and you bring the drive and persistence to follow through under pressure, always with the customer's success in mind.
Preferred experience, but not required
- Experience in DSP integration and/or audio systems integration and testing.
- Prior work in customer-facing technical roles.
