We are looking for a Software Developer to join our dynamic Audio Tools team at Dirac. If you are eager to work with cutting-edge audio technologies and contribute to innovative audio solutions, this role is for you.

About the role

You will be part of a dedicated team developing our audio tuning tools and implementations of our signal processing algorithms. The team is a full-stack team consisting of experts of GUI design, algorithm design, DSP embedded programming and cloud development. Each team member has their own area of expertise but there are plenty of opportunities to work across each discipline. You will work closely with other Dirac software developers, tuning engineers and researchers to invent the future of sound.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement audio algorithms into the Dirac filter design tool in C++
  • Design and implement the user-interface for an easy-to-use experience
  • Coordinate with stakeholders in our research and customer solution departments
  • Take part in architectural discussions to design the tool for scalability
  • Maintain, test and release the application on windows
  • Assist the Technology Manager to refine complex and large work items into smaller, valuable and estimated user stories
  • Run the daily meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives

Qualifications and experience

  • Master of Science in computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong programming experience and proficiency in C++
  • Ability to use a variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
  • Experience with GUI development
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Valid work permit or citizenship that allows you to work in Sweden

Desired qualifications

  • A sincere interest in music and sound quality is a considerable advantage
  • Knowledge in audio signal processing and/or advanced mathematics
  • Experience with working with project management, especially between different teams
  • Programming experience with Qt Widgets, JUCE and in C
  • Experience working as a scrum master
  • Experience or interest in design and/or UX
  • Experience with Agile development
  • Familiarity with Source control with Git
  • Familiarity with CMake

Location

Your main location will be at Dirac’s headquarters in central Uppsala, Sweden. Living with commuting distance to Uppsala is an advantage.
